Han Sword – A Chinese Piece of Art
admin
Swords that were widely used during the Chinese era were usually known for their aesthetic detail. And when Hanwei forged the Gongfu “Han” Sword by Paul Chen, detail seemed to be a primary factor. This Han sword took its detail from the cavalry patterns that existed during its period (Han Dynasty).
Some of the distinct features of this sword include the rosewood grip and silver inlay manifested throughout the 28” hand forged K120c Damascus Blade which, added to the 8” handle, makes up the entire 37” long weapon. This beautifully detailed blade also comes with an equally well designed scabbard which features a “crouching tiger” motif, which in general involves gold and black patterns and a Chinese dragon symbol upon it.
Like all the other Paul Chen Chinese swords, this Han sword need not be doubted for its accuracy. In fact, the details of this officially licensed replica are based off an authentic piece displayed in a museum. And because it is fully sharpened and fully functional, this sword is ideal for sword enthusiasts and collectors alike.
